DESCRIPTION
Antique large decorated blade Kindjal from Georgia in the Russian Caucasus region. Dating to the late 19th, early 20th century this was a typical pattern sword manufactured for most fighting men of the period. The blade is acid etched and still retains a lot of its original decoration, albeit faded. the handle is also made from metal and there are no visible bolts or screws. This is a finely hand forged broad tapering double-edged blade of a classical form with off centered fullers and struck at the forte with the maker's mark. The blade measures 20" and the complete piece measures 26" in total. There is no scabbard present.

A great addition to your rare sword or Russian blade collection. This would make a great wall decoration or military display item.
MEASUREMENTS
Kindjal sword measures 26"long (blade is 20" long by 2.5" wide at widest point) by 2.5" deep and weigh 1lbs 10oz.
CONDITION
In good condition considering age and use. The metal shows signs of age with some pitting throughout and blade blemishing (please see all pictures as they form part of the condition description).
