    There are rows of beautiful Cacoxenite inclusions in Quartz. It weighs 14.8 grams It is shown here in a  Cabohon of Amethyst quartz with inclusions of golden cacoxenite, a genuine rarity. Those tiny 'thorns' are technically termed goethite, and they shine in a bright golden yellow color. Their appearance is like spun gold, and in this cab there are several rows of them. The are some interesting feathers of 'fairy frost' present the backlit photo illustrates the stone's great translucence. This material takes a fine glossy polish.
