NEW Full Featured Completely Assembled PCB Black Scorpion Model Design on a 5"x7" Printed Circuit Board
Black Scorpion Crystal Radio on a 5"x7" PC Board. Features 3 Selectable Diodes, Antenna Tuning Capacitor, and Brass Nut Connections for external Diode or Whisker Stand
The Antenna Tuner and Diodes can be selected and enabled/disabled by moving the jumpers on a header blocks.
Has a 1/4" clearance around the outside edge of the PC Board to accommodate Panel or Box Mounting.
Also has a integral 3.5mm jack for the earphone with Thumbscrew terminals for connecting your own headset.
Screw Nut terminals are also in the design so that users can connect own external diode or whisker detector stand.
The Radio can also be easily converted From Ground Coupling to Antenna Capacitor Coupling by simply swapping your main Antenna
and Ground Wires leading to the Radio.
Depending on the strength of the signal being received, performance may change.
This Radio Design permits the ability to perform full experimentation and flexibility to more precisely customize the Radio Circuitry for the best performance possible.
This Crystal Radio DOES NOT come with antenna or ground wire

The best configuration for a crystal radio antenna is to run the wire horizontally between two electrically insulated supports as high off the ground as possible . Search eBay or the net to purchase a "Crystal Radio Antenna" Kit or to make your own..
The reason you need a good length antenna is because the more antenna you have, the more power your set will receive, and the louder it will be.
