Vintage 1956 Original Red Plastic Sylvania Model R-1102 Now Bluetooth

This is a 1956 Sylvania Radio radio model R-1102 made in Emporim, PA. This is one of the coolest mid century shapes with all of the horizontal lines and the arch on the base. Nice. It is not rare but unusual to find one this nice, clean and red. The unit I am reworking was the speaker of a 2-way house intercom. I removed the original speaker & replaced it with a new Pioneer 4" coupled with a digital 50 watt Bluetooth amp. Added an on/off/volume control knob to the right side painted gold to match the base & original nameplate. Now this MCM classic is looking beautiful again. Please look at the pics. This is one of a kind radio that is mid century cool. A real conversation piece that makes a grand statement. Buy it for yourself or give it as a great gift.
