Vintage Lot of American Thread Co Star Ready Wound Bobbins 5 Packs - 360 Bobbins

For your consideration today is:
A lot of five (5) vintage American Thread Company (A. T. Co.) Star Ready-Wound Cardboard Cotton Thread Bobbins, sealed in original boxes.  There are five boxes with 72 bobbins each, totaling 360.
These bobbins are marked "Patent Applied For" - which the company applied for originally in 1937 through 1971.  According to the patent - it is an improved pre-wound disposable sewing machine bobbin, which has a plastic core tube for superior strength and dimensional stablility.  The ends of the core tube are reduced in wall thickness, preferably by internal beveling, before assembly, thereby providing better crimping and reduced thread breakage during bobbin assembly.
