Howdy Everytbody Welcome to Wisdom Creek! Today I want to tell you how to keep moisture out of your air lines with our Brand New in line oil and water separator. It’s a Great Day Here on Wisdom Creek and This unit is designed to do the “dew”; So saddle up and lets get started!
Anyone who uses air tools knows that when you compress air you also compress the moisture that’s in it. Even if you live in the Arizona desert! That moisture travels through the air lines and ends up as rust forming condensation in your air tools or worse, as water in your paint.
Moisture is an air tools’ worst enemy. Think of it as a sort of pneumatic mutant ex-wife. You know we want to stop that monster!
This in line air water separator does the trick and it’s cheaper than a lawyer. It will operate on any compressor and threads right into the line. I connect mine right into the compressor before the air hose. It has industry standard ¼ NPT openings. Since it is so small in size, clearance is not a problem. This unit is only about 3 inches long.
You can attach the unit directly to the tool or paint gun if you prefer.
In addition to separating the moisture from the air it will also filter and trap small particles from the air stream.
The clear reservoir (That’s French for mini water retention area.) lets you see any accumulated moisture. The excess moisture and air pressure can be removed through the Schrader valve on the unit.
Note: There is a Schrader style needle valve on the inlet side of the unit. This can be depressed to release line pressure within the separator and for draining oil or water from the unit. You may depress the valve with any standard Bicycle or automotive tire needle valve tool. IMPORTANT: DO NOT remove the Schrader/needle valve as the valve will not reseal properly and leakage will result. Depress the valve only. The unit is factory sealed and does not disassemble.
With the ability to function at a maximum 90 PSI this unit is suitable for most worksite and home applications.
We've had this on all our poratble and shop compressors for years and they are still working like new.
